A Charlie Brown Christmas with The Jazz Council

The Jazz Council will bring the sounds of Vince Guaraldi's classic and timeless soundtrack for A Charlie Brown Christmas, along with tunes from their debut album, Dawn, to Centre 64 in Kimberley on Saturday, December 10 at 7:30pm.

Tim Park drops out of Mayor Race to run for Council

Tim Park made a surprising move, when he announced that he would run for council. This has reduced the mayor race to a Ogilivie/McRae showdown.

17 Candidates Running for 6 City Councillors Seats

A total of 17 residents are running for the city’s six council spots, including only two incumbents, Albert Hoglund and Paddy Weston.

This expanded field includes two candidates that had previously announced that they were running for Mayor, but have since changed their minds: Tim Park and Paddy Weston.

Paddy Weston Drops out of Mayoral Race

In a surprise move, Paddy Weston decided to run for a second term on City Council rather than go for the Mayors Seat.

Darren Close Announces Candidacy

Darren Close was born and raised mostly in Victoria BC. As the youngest member of the family, he spent much of the earliest years growing in a military community. Mother, Christine, and Father Charles, both had careers in the service, although Christine’s was in the US prior to coming to Canada to study nursing. Darren moved around often, as some service families do, and has lived throughout the lower mainland, and spent time in Kingston and Toronto, Ontario, as well as Chester Nova Scotia.
