1978 Kimberley Dynamiters give to local kids
The 1978 version of the Kimberley Dynamiters won the big prize that year: the Allan Cup, emblematic of senior hockey supremacy in Canada. The '78 Nitros got together last year in Kimberley to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The players then donated $1000 to the North Star Skating Club's CanSkate program to support local children in learning how to skate. Any child that qualifies for KidSport funding can now register their child in North Star's CanSkate program free of charge.
"The 1978 Kimberley Dynamiters wanted to donate money for children that might not otherwise be able to afford to join," said Kim Miller, President of Kimberley North Star Skating Club.
