At 10:00am on Saturday, July 24th join fellow shutterbugs for a two hour photo walk through downtown Kimberley and Cominco Gardens. As part of the third annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk you will be able to join thousands of other photographers worldwide to capture what you see during the two hours, enter your photographs in a worldwide photo contest with local and global prizes and it cost nothing to join. Kimberley’s Photo Walk will start in the lower Platzl parking area behind the Travel Info Center. This is a social event in which you can walk as a group, as a couple, or individually if you wish. It doesn’t matter if you take photographs with your cell phone, point and shoot style or a DSLR. The maximum number of participants is 50 so it is best to sign up early. Upon completion of the photo walk we will all meet at a local watering hole to share images, share stories and just relax after a wonderful morning.
This is the first year that Kimberley and area is included in the Worldwide Photo Walk. “I hope that we reach the maximum of 50 participants,” says Dave Parker, the Photo Walk leader. “Add to that, blue skies and we will have the makings of a truly wonderful social day”
